1. What are the best months to visit Ho Tram, Vung Tau?
Similar to Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Tram in Ba Ria – Vung Tau has two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season lasts from May to October, while the dry season runs from November to April of the following year. During the dry season the sea is calmer, making it ideal for beach activities. Before heading to Ho Tram beach, check the weather forecast to ensure a smooth trip.
2. What does Ho Tram have to offer? Must-visit places
2.1. Ho Tram Beach
Ho Tram boasts a stunning stretch of coastline with a serene and unspoiled beauty. The fresh air, the long stretches of fine white sand and the turquoise sea captivate everyone. Importantly, Ho Tram beach is not overly noisy — visitors can stroll at leisure, enjoying the fresh air and a rare sense of peace.

2.2. Binh Chau Hot Springs
With over 70 open-air geysers, this area is part of the Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve. The spring water has diverse mineral compositions that offer health benefits and help treat certain ailments, which is why Binh Chau hot springs attract visitors at any time of year.
2.3. Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve
The reserve covers a natural area of nearly 11,000 hectares and is the only relatively intact primary coastal forest remaining in Vietnam. Its landscape is remarkably diverse: evergreen rainforest, dry tropical woodland, coastal mangroves, sand dunes, shrubland, hills and wetlands.
Around 200 hectares of natural lakes and ponds keep the forest cool and pleasant. It is home to many Dipterocarpus trees and a rich diversity of wildlife, including 22 species listed in the Vietnamese Red Book. Visitors can enjoy camping, accommodation and cycling trails.
2.4. Binh Chau Fishing Port
Binh Chau is the only fishing port in Xuyen Moc district, a mooring and trading point for hundreds of fishing boats of all sizes. It is a favourite spot at sunrise and sunset, and only about 5 minutes by boat from the breakwater and sand dunes on the opposite shore.
2.5. Suoi Nghe Sheep Farm
Suoi Nghe Sheep Farm is a favourite escape for people from Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding area. Immerse yourself in the fresh, open air and capture photos against an impressive backdrop — the sheep here are very friendly.
2.6. Hamptons Pier Ho Tram
The pier is 301.5 m long and 10 m wide, with its main section extending 237.5 m into the sea. It is a fantastic spot to take photos, admire a romantic sunrise or sunset and enjoy the vibrant blue sea — so bring a great outfit and a fully charged camera.
