1. What are the best months to visit Phu Quoc?
Located deep in the Gulf of Thailand and surrounded by the sea, Phu Quoc has a cool climate with two distinct seasons. The dry season is the island's peak period, attracting the most visitors thanks to its pleasant weather and stunning scenery.
- Dry season – peak season: From November to April, the weather is sunny with little rain. Temperatures average 27–28°C, sometimes reaching 35°C in April or May — ideal for swimming, snorkelling and exploring the island.
- Rainy season: From May to October, with the heaviest rain in September and October, sometimes all day. Beaches on the west side can have big waves and rough seas, while the east side is often murky — avoid swimming in these areas during this time.
- Transition period: In late October the weather is changeable, alternating between sun and rain, with pleasant temperatures of 25–28°C. Keep an eye on the forecast and pack an umbrella or raincoat.
